Welcome to St. Peter Parish of Kenosha
We are located in Kenosha County, Wisconsin.

image St. Peter Parish is a community of baptized Catholics in Kenosha. We are associated with other Catholic parishes under the direction of the Archbishop of Milwaukee. We live our baptismal calling by the worship of God through Jesus Christ, the formation of Christian mind and character, service to those in need and responsible use of the resources which God gives us. Using the example of the Virgin Mother of Christ, so well portrayed in Christian tradition, we will pursue this calling faithfully under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

St. Peter School News:

Rwandan Well Walk

"Each year the 5th grade class raises money for a charity or organization of their choice. This year, a visiting priest from Rwanda came to speak with the children about Rwanda and explained their living conditions. Many of the people there have to travel over a mile to the nearest well to get fresh drinking water. My 5th graders knew immediately that they wanted to help build a well for the people of this country. Knowing the magnitude of this fundraiser, we have decided to extend our money raising efforts for two years, which also includes the current 4th grade class. Both classes have been working hard to raise money throughout the school year through bake sales, Lent donations, as well as our annual Penny War. Our final fundraiser for the year is the Rwandan Well Walk. Each child received a sponsor sheet and has been asking their neighborhoods, families, and friends to sponsor them. We will be traveling from our school to Petrified Springs Park about 2.5 miles away;, however, this is no ordinary walk. They will be traveling with an empty milk jug to the park and will be filling it up at the Springs once we get there. They will then have to carry the water filled jugs back to school. This is to represent the struggles that many of the people in Rwanda go through every day just to get fresh drinking water. This fundraiser has taught the students of St. Peter School, as well as the staff and parents, not to take for granted the little things in life. We are learning to be grateful for the amenities for which we have access."
