St. Peter School Catholic Education after grade 6.

While St. Peter school education on site finishes at grade 6, we do offer continuing Catholic junior high school education at St. Joseph Interparish Junior High School. St. Peter Parish supports and sits on the board of directors of the interparish Junior High School. Located at stjosephhs.com we invite you to browse the site. St. Peter provides quality education based on the teaching of Jesus. We enhance spiritual, academic and social development of each child in partnership with church, parents and community. Academic Philosophy:

The purpose of education is to build a foundation for lifelong learning with a goal to provide students with experiences in the spiritual, mental, physical, social and technological spheres, so that they can meet the demands of a rapidly changing society. This is best accomplished with a certified staff prepared to teach in a variety of ways to meet the learning styles of our students. The success of our students depends on a symbiotic relationship between our parents and teachers, which produces disciplined, productive, informed and fulfilled individuals.

Curriculum:

Our curriculum is forever changing with the needs of society,the creativity of our teachers and rapid technological advances.We provide a solid, basic education in all required academic areas, pay close attention to state standards, and integrate technology into the academic disciplines. We emphasize higher order thinking skills, creativity, neatness and accuracy on our students' work. We teach strategies, problem solving, note taking, study skills and time management. We emphasize phonics, as well as teach religion, prayer, spirituality and community involvement. We attempt to have a positive impact on the lives of our children by reflecting the values of their parents and the Catholic Church.
